Being a Sydney-sider I'm never "caught out" by a snowstorm, but I can now tick that off on my list of experiences. I really love the snow and relished in watching the big flakes drift down. I can't even describe how happy it made me :) The only down-side was that the only flat custom made shoes I had with me were my peep-toe ballet flats... which quickly resulted in my hosiery freezing to my feet!
If you face the snow/shoes dilemma regularly - how do you deal with it? Is it a matter of wearing gumboots and changing into your stilettos when you reach the venue? And if this is the case, do venues normally offer storage for gumboots? Or is it about committing to wearing beautiful leather boots as the staple part of your outfit while the ground is icy?
