SHOE SCHOOL: VIDEO #1, THE LAST

Following on from my shoe-anatomy blog post, I thought I’d start a series of shoe-school video posts to share more with you about how we make our shoes and what each of the components mean. It’s my hope that by sharing these, you’ll have great context into some of the language we might use when we’re helping you get to the custom made shoes that you’ll love.

So, first things first, the last is the most important tool in the entire process. It is a foot-shaped piece of material that the shoe is built around. The closer your foot is to matching the shape of the last, the better the shoe will feel on your foot!

I’ve made a short video to explain the last and show you the tool itself - I hope you enjoy!
