Rachel Taylor, from the new Charlie's Angels

The glamour of a proper evening dress is un-matchable and every year the awards ceremonies let me indulge my dreamy frock addiction. The Emmy's have just past, and with that, here is a wrap up of some of my favorite red-carpet styles.

As you can see above, representing for the Australian girls, Rachel Taylor wore a strapless column dress from Armani Prive. Sadly we only saw very small glimpses of her shoes, but with a dress like this, peeptoe, and shiny gold soft leather like the ones our customer Jill made, would be my pick!

Below, again in a very classical tradition (for some reason this makes me think "Breakfast at Tiffany's") is Evan Rachel Wood in Elie Saab. This gown is faultless and would have allowed her almost as much creative liberty as she wanted with her shoes!

Elisabeth Moss in a fitted, nude, embroided Marchesa gown and Jayma Mays in a pale pink, tiered Zuhair Murad gown both felt like something out of a fairytale to me. Again no peeks of shoes, I think both designs would have worked well using our range of silks - anything ivory, gold or dark peach coloured silk for Elisabeth, and soft pink silk for Jayma, of course!

Now, one last dress from Elie Saab on Emily Blundt - a vision in midnight blue, the detail on this gown is spectacular!

I hope you enjoyed this little foray into beautiful long dresses!
