DESIGN EYE: NUDE PATENT LEATHER
Nude patent leather has been a huge trend over the past few seasons so it deserves a closer look in some of the really great designs that we've seen from you :) Above is a pair of gorgeous ballet flats - although they could be quite simple with the one very neutral material, they are made interesting with the use of detail in the heel cap, toe cap, trimming and bow. These make for a fantastic everyday ballet flat.
You know I love a great stiletto and every girl needs a brogue in her wardrobe! Using nude instead of white throughout the upper makes for an interesting, modern take on a classic design.
Last but absolutely not least, an evening heel featuring nude patent leather. This is definitely the most daring design of the three styles featured here, using different textures (silk and patent leather) as well as the two different colours. Although a neutral palette this is a very bold design that requires either accents of black throughout the outfit or a strong defining feature to carry the shoes off.
Have you designed with nude patent leather? What are your favorite nude patent designs?
